What is Resurfacing ?

Resurfacing / Refinishing/ Reglazing, etc. Call it what you will.  All these terms refer to the same thing. The surface is prepared and a coating is professionally applied via a HVLP spray gun.

We use a fully linked Aliphatic

This vanity top was previously pink, with crazing and chips.

Acrylic Urethane coating from Altex, as used in the maritime and automotive industries, where super tough protection is needed. This type of coating is also used on bridges, boat hulls and in many other highly corrosive environments. It is ideally suited to the purpose of bathroom fixture refinishing. Our E-Line coating produces a high gloss finish, long life and durability, ease of cleaning and great scuff and stain resistance.

What really matters when your bath or bathroom is resurfaced is how thoroughly the surface preparation is carried out, the care taken and the skill of the applicator. Yes the coating is important, but a distant second to workmanship. And I offer a genuine Warranty .

Misconceptions and myths

Some companies will allow you to believe they are “re-enameling” your bath or applying porcelain. They aren’t. That can only be done in a baking kiln at 800 degrees, and that isn’t going to happen in your home. Resurfacing means a coating is applied, normally a 2 pac or epoxy, then either cured under a heat lamp(old technology) or cured naturally with 24 hour drying time.
